The notes are by hand and detail Herbert's concepts for the production, 5241-5244. The costumes are in an autumnal colour palette and many are annotated with the characters name. There are also a number of pencil drawn portraits detailing hair for example, 5282. A number of the outfit designs are accompanied by props for example, guards holding guns such as in 5274. Herbert employed a technique she did not often use for one of the costumes, on the recto [5259] is the front of the outfit and on the verso [5260] is the back of the outfit. Some of the designs only show props for example, different design options for pickets in 5271. The set drawings are uncoloured, 5268 details the complete staging as the actors are drawn in position, the set is drawn and so is the lighting.
