Many of the costumes are line drawings, a number of character profiles, for example, 2134-5. 2137 has a fabric sample attached to the design and additional notes. 2138 shows a number of different costumes as a montage in biro. There are also several character portraits showing face and hair for example, 2146. One group of sets is painted in dark tones of black and blues for the background and browns for set pieces, many have the characters on the stage and so positioning of sets/actors can be seen [2102]. The other group of sets shows the backdrop and a set piece in orange and mid-brown with the actors arranged around the latter for example, 2105. A number of the designs show the stage backdrop for example, 2107-2108 and these are painted in black in a different style from the other set designs as they use blotting and have a fine art quality. Some are annotated with the set name. 2123 is a prop design in line drawing.
