The costumes are Medieval in appearance and use a jewel colour palette, that is sometimes used on a base of browns and black, most are annotated by character name. A number show characters with extra items for example, 0234 holds a ceremonial spear. Several are painted in a free hand style such as, 0235. There are also a number of pen line drawn portraits for example, 0238. A number of the drawings contains designs for the King's crown for example, 0261 and 0258 which has a rough design with notes on materials etc. The sets are drawn in a similar colour palette but using paler tones for example, 0243 shows the entire stage and is drawn in black and shades of grey with jewel colour washes. 0243-0253 are various designs for the thrown room, the main set for the play, and show Herbert experimenting with perspective. 0254 is a blueprint for set design panels.
