DescriptionBy Jean-Paul Sartre (Translator Frank Hauser), Director John Dexter. Premier, The Lyric Theatre Hammersmith, 6 Sep 1984. The file contains costume and set designs. The costumes are in black and greys with detailing in colours such as dark red and gold and are mostly annotated by character name. Some feature props also for example, 1637 is holding a tray with glasses and decanter. 1655 shows two cleric figure, Bishop and Arch-bishop, and so are different in style from the rest as they represent the clothing worn by such figures. 1657 also varies, it shows a leper. The set designs are roughly drawn out in 1608-28, with greater detailing on 1629-30. The main feature is a large crucifix and raised plinths on which part of the action takes place. They feature characters and so staging can be indentified and most are indentified by Act or set name.
