DescriptionBy William Shakespeare, Director Simon Usher. Premiere, Haymarket Theatre Leicester, 16 Feb 1988. The file contains set and costume designs. The costumes are suits of Napoleonic and twentieth century style for the men and late twentieth century style for the women in palette of greys, autumnals and browns. They are annotated by character name and some by other details such as act number. Some characters are holding objects for example, 5093 a portrait of a man [detail of which is possibly at 5094] and some show the verso for example, 5098. Timon is dressed in white ragged clothes, see 5106-7. there are some group designs for example, 5111 senators. The set was designed on a hexagon and many drawings include characters and so it is possible to discern staging, notes are at 5150-1.
