| Description | The file contains 17 model crates/floorpieces for The Trackers of Oxyrhynchus at 1:25 scale: wooden cross-shapes with reproductions of Greek papyrus pasted on one side. There are two sets: in one set, the crosses are flat, with wooden slats drawn in pencil on the reverse (numbered 1-8); in the other set, the pieces are scored so that they fold up into crates. In this set, the original numbers (1-9) have been covered with masking tape and the crates renumbered A1, A2, A3, B4, B5, B6, C7, C8, C9 (to correspond with the stage management map of crate settings RNT/SM/1/325a).
Also a storage box containing model pieces at 1:50 scale: nine flat crates/floorpieces, 11 card figures with plasticine bases (two labelled: 'Hunt' and 'Grenfell'), two trolleys, expedition tent, long table and bench made of crates and board, and a screen (wire frame and hanging cloth) representing sheets of papyrus with Greek lettering. A set of balsa wood blocks (numbered 1-9, and two marked 'M') represent the crates. |
