| Description | The section contains masks from the play, see pages 198-200 of Jocelyn Herbert - A Theatre Workbook (Art Books International, 1993) for Herbert's explanation of their use i.e. that each of the three main characters (Orpheus, Euridice and Aristaeus) appeared in three guises, the Singer, the Actor and the Puppet with a mask adapted for each (eg a half mask for the Singer). Some are identified by actor/part. There are also boxes of mixed masks. |
