| Description | Posters relate to the period prior to the building of the National Theatre on the South Bank. Unless otherwise stated, the posters relate to performances of the National Theatre Company at the Old Vic. The series also includes posters for visiting companies to the National Theatre at the Old Vic, and posters for performances of the National Theatre Company in venues other than the Old Vic. Ken Briggs was the NT graphic designer for this period, together with his assistant Sue Chennels he designed all material in this series; copyright in the designs belongs to the National Theatre. |
