Description | Press release with following headlines: New plays by two of Britain's leading playwrights will be among the highlights of the 2004 season at the National Theatre. Alan Bennett's The History Boys opens at the Lyttelton Theatre in May. In September a new play, Stuff Happens, developed by David Hare as a response to the war in Iraq, will be the final production in the Travelex £10 Season. The Travelex Season begins in April in the Olivier with Cyrano de Bergerac, starring Stephen Rea; and is followed by Measure for Measure directed by Simon McBurney in May. This year, the Travelex Season is being extended briefly to the Lyttelton, to embrace a season in April of The Permanent Way, transferring from a sell-out run in the Cottesloe.
