The report is about the study of drama in American Universities and the possible application of the American practice for drama studies at Oxford University. Recommends that a University Theatre should be provided at Oxford, and encloses architectural report with remarks on the form that such theatre may take. The proposed theatre building would provide for different theatre types within the same auditorium, namely a Greek Theatre, Elizabethan, Restoration, Georgian, Victorian and Modern Theatre. Enclosed with the report are also architectural drawings for the proposed theatre and photographs of models showing how the stage and proscenium areas could be adjusted to achieve the different types of theatres described.
