Features two appendices at the end, (1) the report on a Shakespeare Memorial National Theatre by the Executive Committee, 1909, and (2) a petition to the County Council. Also includes a form for donating money to the Shakespeare National Theatre fund. This file includes two copies of the booklet, lightly different in formatting. The front covers of the two booklets are also illustrated differently.
Additionally, this file includes copies of the text of the handbook, typed on notepaper and bound with a paper clip. In 1923 the handnbook was presented in a court case to ascertain whether the objects of the Shakespeare Memorial Fund could be defined as charitable. |
