DescriptionThis sub-series includes ledgers for different accounts associated with the Shakespeare Memorial National Theatre movement, 1908-1917, and a Petty Cash Book [for the Shakespeare Memorial Committee], covering the period 1911-1914.

Ledger books are for the following accounts:
- (1) Ladies' Organising Committee, Shakespeare Memorial, account with the London Westminster Bank Limited, Westminster Branch (1909-1910).
- (2) A Brown, Esq., Honorary Secretary [of the Cardiff Branch], account with Lloyds Bank Ltd, Cardiff Docks (1911-1912, 1915).
- (3) Account in the names of Lytton, Plymouth and Meyer, with Cox & Co., Charing Cross, 1913-1914; encloses a blank postal envelope for replies to Cox & Co.
- (4) Shakespeare Memorial Committee, Masque account, with the London County & Westminster Bank Limited, West End office (1910).
- (5) Shakespeare Memorial National Theatre, Ball Account, account with the London County & Westminster Bank Limited, West End office (1911-1912).
- (6) Shakespeare Memorial Committee, in account with the London County & Westminster Bank Limited, West End Office (1913-1919).
- (7) Account in the names of the Earl of Onslow, the Earl of Lytton and Philip Carr, with the National Provincial Bank of England limited, 208-209 Piccadilly (1908-1909).
- (8) Shakespeare Memorial Committee, account with the London County & Westminster Bank Limited, West End Office (1910-1911).
- (9) Account in the names of Lyttelton, Donald, G. Sherwood Foster, Perris and Philip Carr, with the London County & Westminster Bank Limited, Westminster branch (1910).
- (10) Shakespeare Memorial National Theatre, Belfast Fund, in account with the Belfast Banking Company Limited, [Markets] Branch (1910-1912).
- (11) Shakespeare Memorial Committee, in account with the London County & Westminster Bank Limited, West End Office (1911-1913).
- (12) Shakespeare Memorial National Theatre, Harrogate local fund, account with Beckett's Bank, Harrogate, with the name of G.G. Stephenson, Honorary Treasurer of the Harrogate Branch (1910-1917); encloses covering letter from [E…, officer of the Harrogate branch], to Gollancz, 12/01/1917, 1p. and complimentary slip of the Beckett's Bank.

- (14) Shakespeare Memorial Local Committee, Yorkshire, account with the Yorkshire Penny Bank, under the names of Mr James L. Gregory and Mr A. Stuart (1911-1914).
