DescriptionThe file contains correspondence and enclosures, file notes and test certificates, and mainly relates to making and installing power flying equipment but also occasionally to other stage equipment: Lower Theatre commissioning, Lower Theatre control equipment (control boxes), Lower Theatre panel, the lighting ladder set, wagons, rear stage wagon (locks and brakes), the revolve, torque spanners, cable tension, brake lights, temporary cyclo-drive, elevators, drums/disc systems, potentiometers, tachogenerators, synchro, assisted counterweight controls, side stage trolleys, house tabs, point hoists and lighting hoists, floor finish on front stage elevators, power flying motors, temperatures in the Lyttleton electronics room, resetter gear . Also discussed are the issuing of handbooks and maintenance manuals, insurance, testing, noise levels and problems with sub-contractor Hall Stage Equipment Ltd, including delays to works and works outstanding, concerns about quality of work and defects, the availability of the stages, equipment failures, and disputes over contract extensions, completion and payment. Original card folder disposed of.
