| Description | The file title is misleading as it contains materials for the English Stage Company Council, the filing may be due to the fact the Committee's of the Theatre established the Council officially in 1977 but started running it in 1976 [see JH/2/36/6]. The file contains minutes which discuss management issues and associated papers such as agendas, related letters and financial statements. There is also the Council's reactions to the Theatre's policy for 1977-1984 and reports to the Council from the Young People's Theatre and the Artistic Committee. There is correspondence with the Arts Council.
